The chalet could not be better located, with its privileged access to the Route Verte cycle path, running along the edge of the property's wooded land. Directly at the foot of the Pic-de-l'Ours slope, belonging to Mont Orford, outdoor activities are numerous there, summer and winter. One stay is not enough to see everything!
By taking the cycle path, you will have 15 minutes to cycle to Stukely Beach in Mont Orford National Park. Still following the cycle path, a few minutes' walk will take you to the start of the path leading to the summit of Pic-de-l'Ours. A little further, there is also the possibility of going to the Mont Chauve trails. By car, Lake Fraser located 15 minutes from the chalet also offers a beautiful sandy beach with clear water. At the park's two beaches, it is possible to rent boats for the day, whether kayaks, pedal boats, paddle boards or canoes.
No need to travel too far to enjoy your stay in the region. If you prefer to stay on site and enjoy the chalet, a private indoor swimming pool awaits you for a most pleasant swim. In winter, the cycle path turns into a cross-country ski trail and snowshoe walking trails. Additional cross-country ski trails are also set up in the Parc du Mont Orford. If you have enough time, take a trip to Owl's Head and Bromont to discover all the other ski slopes in the region.
The Magog and Orford region is full of restaurants, small shops and attractions to visit. A short detour to Magog is worth it before returning home. The Marais de la Rivière aux Cerises is well known for a walk with a view of Mont Orford. Everything is 20 minutes from the chalet.
