Stunning lakeside views
A lovely family home with stunning views of Brome Lake, Mount Pinnacle and the Sutton Range. Located 5 feet from the shore of Brome Lake creates the impression of living on a boat...The space is laid out on 3 floors all with magnificent lake views. The atmosphere is light and airy with a vast quantity of windows throughout the house. The heating is electric and enhanced by a Vermont Castings fireplace with catalytic converter that dissipates heat throughout the house when in use.
The interior design is all in natural light tones with elements of colour. The floors are aged pine installed in the old tradition of varying widths. The furnishings are a combination of made to measure pieces from La Belle Vieillerie in Bromont, family art & antiques, wrought iron beds refinished in white, as well as some drawings by the owner who is a Montreal artist.
The Ground floor has an open concept plan with living room & fireplace, librairy, dining room and wide entry into the kitchen area which is semi-open to the rest of the space. There is a small bedroom with half bath which is extremely practical for visiting grand parents, sleep-in babysitters or nannies and of course, occasional guests. The space is extremly bright and sunny with 3 triple patio doors and 4 other windows which also favours buyoant airs in the summer. There is a wrap around deck that can be accessed by the patio doors, the front entrance and an additional side door near the kitchen (fully equipped), a convenience for setting up the BBQ (Char Broil). It's a great place to relax in the shade, lounge around in the sun and of course enjoy tasty BBQ's among family and friends!
The Second Floor has 4 bedrooms... a large master with ensuite (shower), 4 windows and a double patio door leading out to a charming balcony. The 3 other bedrooms all have two windows with lakeviews except one , and share the second bathroom (bath). All linens and towels are provided.
The Basement area is extremely comfortable with 4 windows and lake views; equipped with wall to wall carpeting and three comfy sofas, it is perfect for watching TV or a movie, playing games or launching a challenging game of ping pong. There is a laundry room with washer, dryer, iron & ironing board, central vac and an additional fridge for extra food storage. There is also an unfinished storage room where firewood is located and double doors lead you outside.
A gorgeous setting where one can enjoy soothing water sounds, a variety of bird songs, water reflections, multicoloured winter sunsets and fresh buoyant air...truly a wonderful getaway for friends, family and let's not forget a cozy romantic retreat !
