The Assistant Guandian's House
The building was built in 1959, at the same time as the new Maison du Gardien. We find the same set of houses in almost all lighthouse stations in Quebec. This construction marked the recognition of the function of assistant guard by the Ministry of Transport. Before that time, the assistant lived with the family of the guardian and therefore could hardly settle on the island with his own family.
Located directly on the beach, the House of the assistant-keeper has a magnificent view and includes four bedrooms, three with Queen beds and one with two single beds, two bathrooms with shower and a powder room, a kitchen and a living room.
Available for stays according to the following schedule:
- May 15 to June 24 and September 2 to October 29, for stays of 2 nights or more.
- From June 25 to September 1, for stays of 3 nights or more.

As of September 2023, the low-season rate applies to all rentals of more than 2 nights.
- $ 380 per night for stays of less than six (6) nights;
- $ 330 per night for stays of more than six (6) nights;
- $ 250 cleaning fee and taxes extra;

To reserve your stay, please send us the first of two payments for half your rental. This must be dated the day you receive your booking quote, and is your booking deposit. The second payment, for the other half, must be received 48 hours before your arrival.
A security deposit of $500 in cash, or in the form of a pre-authorization on your credit card, will be added to the amount of the 2nd payment, or will be paid in person when the keys are handed over to you at the reception desk, and will be refunded in full on departure if the premises are left in normal condition. This amount can be used to cover any breakage of equipment by tenants.
If you need to cancel your stay at least 4 weeks before your arrival date, we will refund your deposit in full and return your second instalment if applicable. If you cancel less than four weeks before your arrival date, we will keep your deposit in case we cannot find a tenant for the period, but if we do, we will return your deposit.
