Description

Your Family Deserves the BEST  Vacation Ever!

At Domaine Lac Labbé we take pride in offering a unique package that is so much more than a typical (basic) cottage rental. We know that each member of your family is unique, and we provide a variety of activities and opportunities to appeal to most interests. Park your car(s) for the week and let your family members enjoy their favourite onsite activities. Firewood, propane, linens, boats, golf clubs and musical instruments are all supplied free of charge. See for yourself the reasons that make Lac Labbé the best location to bring your family together for a memorable week.

  • Activities for a Variety of Interests and Ages
  1. swimming - platform in middle of lake is equipped with diving board and aluminum steps for easily getting out of the water. There are also cleats on the platform to secure boats
  2. boats - kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, pedalos, and rowboats make up our flottilla. There is a lakeside cabin with lifejackets and water toys. Parents of young children should bring their own lifejackets for proper sizing.
  3. hiking/exploring - There are several trails to explore, ranging from an easy walk to a more challenging climb
  4. story walk for young at heart - my favorite princess/dragon story
  5. Rigolo game lounge (new for 2018) - featuring a 5x10 billiards table, ping pong, and lounge area with an amazing view of Lac Labbé.
  6. fire pit with wood provided - great for campfire after dark where smores and spooky stories can be shared, or just enjoy the comraderie and crackling logs
  7. outdoor games - bocce, pétanque, croquette, frisbee, and soccer ball are provided
  8. golf ball driving - bring your club or use ours - driving net is provided for those who do not enjoy hunting for lost balls.
  9. indoor games - each cottage is equipped with a medley of board games, puzzles, books, and movies for your enjoyment
  10. music - guitars, a piano, drums and an accordian are available for the musically inclined.
  11. day trips - spend a day experiencing the charm of old Quebec City, rent a mountain bike or canoe in the Vallé Bras du Nord, or try the arbre-en-arbre parcours in Duchesnay (tree to tree                   course) followed by a quality meal at Le Bistro-Bar Le Quatre-Temps. Many options are possible and we are always happy to assist your planning.

  • Large, Private Domaine - 280 acres to be exact, surrounding Lac Labbé which is reserved for the exclusive use of our guests. Your family will not be disturbed by noisy jet skis, rowdy parties or even see a neighbour unless you leave Domaine Lac Labbé. The Domaine consists mostly of mountain woodland with trails, a small lake for swimming and paddling, and several large grass fields close to the central compound. Rent a cottage to suit your family's need or rent both for a completely exclusive experience.

  • Quality Family Accomodations - designed with families in mind.

  1. Spacious(4000+ sq ft) - Open concept with cathedral ceiling and stunning view of Lac Labbé. Dormitory in basement is great for the kids. Lots of space for everyone. 5 bedrooms + dormitory. Capacity: 16 children and adults.
  2. Fully Equipped - kitchen utensils, board games, high speed wifi, and all linens provided
  3. Professionally Cleaned - to keep costs reasonable each group is responsible to return the cottage in the same clean and orderly condition that it was given. Our cleaning staff ensures a proper cleaning and replenishes consumables (ie. toilet paper, scott towels, etc.)

  • Personal Service On-Site - we live in a small cottage on-site. We are here to greet you when you arrive and introduce you to the property. We are also available for any questions or issues that may arise during your stay. We formerly lived in Guelph, Ontario and are completely fluent in english.

  • Reasonable Price

We strive to keep our prices affordable and offer the best amenities possible. We hope everyone enjoys Lac Labbé as much as we do!

Chute de la Marmite  - (15 min drive) -spend an afternoon exploring this provincial park created around a waterfall/rapids cut through granite rock. Unsupervised swimming is possible downstream of the rapids. The remnants of an early hydro-electric generation installation can still be seen near the riverbank.

Granite Mining Display - (8 min drive or bike ride) - housed in the old fire tower across from the City Hall, this display en francais only gives a picture of the early settlers (circa 1900) and the methods used for extracting granite which was exported internationally. There are some old machines, photos, and samples of different granites and finishes.

Bois Rond Casse Croute - (10 min drive or bike ride) - local poutine stop and in my opinion one of the best. If you are not familiar with this Quebecois staple, then you must experience this local gathering place.

Biking Trail - (9 min drive or bike ride) - old railroads have been transformed into a network of  groomed biking trails extending to Quebec City, featuring rest stations and safety patrols along the way. These trails are easily accessed starting by bicycle from Lac Labbé.

Alexis du Portneuf - (30 min drive) - cheese factory in St Raymond offers a wide range of locally made cheese as well as other offerings. It is possible to have a baguette & cheese lunch. During the summer months, they also offer the best ice cream in the region.

Vallée Bras du Nord - (40 min drive) - extensive trail system for both hiking and internationally known for mountain biking competition. Entry fee is charged to maintain facility.

Old Quebec City - (75 min drive) - a great day trip!! Explore the 400 year old streets complete with cafés, museums, street performers, restaurants, etc. You can also visit the old fortifications - one of the last walled cities remaining in the world!
