Lac Saint-Pierre and its islands, Designated a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO since the year 2000, allows you to observe nearly 290 species of BIRDS, about 90 species of FISH and 27 RARE PLANTS.
The chalet gives you a view of the Ile du Moine, the Ile des Barques, the Ile Lapierre and the Ile Aux Fantômes. You will also be able, in the distance, to see the steamers arriving from Lac Saint-Pierre.
BRING YOUR BOAT
The navigable channel in front of the chalet which is at the door of the 103 islands, can lead you to Montreal as much as to Trois-Rivieres as well as to Chambly by the famous Richelieu River.
You can have access to a private dock of 20 feet to leave your boat in front of the chalet. The FISHING is EXCELLENT! With just a hook and a worm, you can outsmart sturgeon, yellow perch, pike, walleye and bass.
In the fall, it's a DUCK HUNTING paradise.
A canoe can also be made available to you.
Less than 2 km away, you have access to a boat descent, a marina restaurant-bar, a Paddle Board school, kayaking excursions in the marshes and an observation tower with a few km walk in Lavallière Bay which is the largest managed marsh in North America.
Take the opportunity to taste the famous Gibelotte des Iles at the Marc Beauchemin restaurant, accessible by car or boat.
