Our pretty cottage, located 7 minutes from Owl's Head is for rent this summer. As it is new on the market, there is still a lot of availability, do not hesitate to write to us for more details.

Responsibilities (pets not allowed and non-smoking chalet)

The tenant is responsible for the rented chalet and its contents. In addition, he assumes full and entire responsibility for the people to whom he allows access. The occupants to whom the tenant allows access must behave in such a way as not to disturb the other residents of neighboring buildings in the normal enjoyment of the premises.
Under no circumstances can the landlord be held liable for any damages or losses suffered by the tenant.
The landlord assumes no responsibility for damage, loss or theft to the personal effects of the tenant and his guests.
It is strictly forbidden to make fires anywhere other than in the places provided for this purpose, i.e. the outdoor fireplace and the fireplace on the ground floor. The door to the interior fireplace must remain closed at all times when there is a fire. It is strictly forbidden to make fireworks.
The tenant is responsible for sewers and sink if blocked or damaged by his fault.

The tenant agrees to;
Leave the premises, chalet, land, furniture and accessories in the same condition as on arrival and in their original location. A supplement will be added to the tenant's costs if the landlord notices that the cleanliness of the chalet is deemed unsatisfactory.
Comply with this rental agreement. Failure to comply with the contract may result in costs which will be assessed at the sole discretion of the lessor. Failure to comply with the contract gives the landlord the right to evict the tenant and his guests on the spot by terminating this rental contract. In this event, the lessor will retain any amount paid to him and will retain all recourse against the lessee if damage has been caused to the rented premises.
Use the furniture and objects in the rented building for the use for which they are intended and in the places where they are located. It is strictly forbidden to transport them outside the premises, to another address.
Notify the landlord as soon as the tenant becomes aware of a defect and/or breakage of equipment or furniture in the building. Any misuse or use not attributable to normal wear and tear of the building or its property causing stains, breakage or defects will result in repair or replacement at the tenant's expense.
Do not throw anything into the sinks, toilets, bathtubs and showers likely to obstruct the pipes, failing which the costs incurred for putting them back into service will be charged to the tenant.
Respect the non-smoking policy.
Allow access to the premises at all times to the lessor to inspect the premises and to carry out urgent work necessary to maintain the leased premises and its equipment in good condition.
Manage waste in a hygienic and environmentally friendly way. Garbage, recyclable materials and compostable materials must not be accumulated inside the chalet. They must be placed in the bins provided and identified, on the side of the road. Garbage and compostable materials must be placed in a bag provided for this purpose before being put in the large bins.
Lock the doors and windows when the chalet is unattended as well as on departure and at the end of the stay.

The landlord agrees to;
Keep in force, throughout the duration of the rental, the minimum insurance required by law.
Deliver the chalet in good condition, i.e. clean and with the equipment in good working order.
Notify the tenant if, for any reason, the landlord cannot rent the chalet to the tenant for the agreed dates and undertakes to reimburse the deposit paid in full.

Payments, Deadlines and Security Deposit
To ensure his reservation, the tenant must send to the owner;
o This contract duly completed and signed, 30 days before the first day of the reservation or within 24 hours of receipt of the contract to be completed if the start date of the stay accepted by the parties is in less than 60 days.
o A deposit of 50% of the total agreed price for the duration of the stay to the owner according to the terms and conditions set out in the rental agreement.
o A security deposit of $300 according to the terms set out in the rental contract. This deposit will be refunded to you 5 working days after your departure if the inventory is deemed satisfactory and the premises have not been damaged.
o The balance of payment according to the terms set out in the rental contract.
