Description
Le Chalet des Retrouvailles is located on Lac-à-la-Truite in the municipality of Adstock, Chaudière Appalache region. It is 15 minutes from Thetford Mines, 1h15 from Quebec bridges and 2h30 from Tunnel Lafontane. There are 5 very comfortable rooms with 4 queen beds and 1 king. The mattresses are all Fleep, see www.fleepbed.ca for more info. The pillows are Germains and the Bamboo sheets are from Simons. You will have a very comfortable sleep.
The main living area is the full length of the 34-foot chalet with impressive fenestration and a direct view of the lake. In this living area, you will have the kitchen, the dining room (8 seats), the living room and a magnificent four-sided fireplace Don-Bar. You will have enough wood to have a warm atmosphere. All floors are concrete and the house is heated by the heated floor (glycol).
The kitchen is very well equipped with a 16 piece dinnerware set in addition to a child's set. There are also included, saucepan and poelon of quality, a toaster, a coffee nespresso. You will have at your disposal several basic foods, such as pepper and salt, olive oil, ketchup and mustard. You will have quality electro, oven, fridge, microwave, dishwasher.
The living room has two leather couches and several extra seats with TV and cable. The wifi is included, it is far from high speed, but you can browse the internet without much difficulty. However, if you want to listen to anything on youtube, I suggest you bring some DVDs or a USB key. You will also have a soundbar to play the music.
There are two full bathrooms each with 2 sinks and a bath in the basement. The basement is also very comfortable with a pool table.
The water comes from a well, you will have plenty, but it's still a well, we recommend using the water wisely.
You will have direct access to the lake and a beautiful beach for swimming. You can use our 2 kayaks and 2 mountain bikes. On the side of the activities in the area, you will be directly in the nature. The summit of Mount Adstock is an hour's walk from the cottage. The ski doo passes on the lake and therefore directly in front of the chalet. Skiing and golf at Mount Adstock is 10 minutes by car. There are some cross-country ski centers in the area, but you can go directly to the lake when it is frozen. If you have snowshoes, the mountains behind the cottage will allow you to improvise your route or take some trails.
You will be 15 minutes from Thetford Mines and all stores for shopping, such as Wal-Mart, IGA, Maxi, Super C, Canadian Tire, etc., we advise you to bring the necessary for the time you go go to the cottage.

The Asbestos area is known for these mines and you can enjoy the open pit mine by heading to Black Lake (about 20 minutes from the cottage) and you can also visit the Asbestos Museum in Thetford Mines. If this is your first time in the area you will certainly be curious to see the asbestos debris that is part of the story.
Beyond Asbestos, the region is known for its multitude of hiking trails. From the Chalet, you can head to several hikes by following one of the nearby trails, including the Mount Adstock Snowshoe Trail, the ATV Trail and the Ski doo Run. You will also be able to reach the summit of Mont Adstock in less than 45 minutes from the chalet and have a superb view of the lake, Grand Lac St-Françcois and the region. In winter, the ski doo rides passe directly on the lake. Mount Adstock at less than 15 minutes by car from the Chalet is very good for downhill skiing in winter and golf in summer.

* The prices listed below do not include taxes (GST / QST and lodging tax of 3.5%) as well as the cleaning fee of $ 150 (plus taxes) and are based on an occupancy of 8 people aged 2 and over. An additional $ 25 per person per day will be charged up to a maximum of 10 people (maximum capacity accepted) The rental is for a maximum of 10 people 2 years and over, to support the well and the septic tank. Deposit: A deposit of $ 500 is required to confirm the reservation. This deposit will be given to you 1 week after your departure when we will have made the verifications of the places. The price is $ 1,500 + cleaning and taxes ($ 1,778.95).
Weekend rate:
The price for a weekend is $ 1,100 + taxes and cleaning for the weekend ($ 1,481.45). A weekend is from Friday morning to Sunday night. There is no possibility of reducing this amount. For example, if you were to arrive on a Friday night and leave on a Sunday afternoon, there will be no way to decrease the amount.
