    La Maison du Cap

    The Maison du Cap is a tourist residence located on the mountainside in St-Irénée, near La Malbaie, in the magnificient region of Charlevoix. For a virtual visit, see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XgOoI8nziU.

    Its long gallery, its large terrace and the very fenestrated living rooms offer a spectacular panoramic view of the St. Lawrence River and the coastal mountains.

    The interior is very bright, comfortable and refined.

    It has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a bathroom. It can comfortably accommodate eight people.

    The access zones of the Maison du Cap (parking lot, main entrance, and garden level) are monitored by three security cameras.

    It is fully furnished and well equipped (fridge with freezer, stove, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, dishes, fondue sets, raclette set, slow cooker, bedding, washer, dryer, central vacuum, Wi-Fi network, home theater sound system, XBox 360 console, pool table, babyfoot table, board games, puzzles, books, interior wood fireplace [firewood provided], outdoor propane BBQ, alarm system, exterior spa).

    HOURS OF ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

    The arrival is at 4 pm at the beginning of the stay and the departure at 11 am at the end of the stay.

    BOOKING PERIODS

    For the high season period (holidays, spring break, etc.), only weekly bookings are possible.

    For Easter, Queen's Day, St-Jean's Day, Canada Day, Labor Day and Thanksgiving, a minimum of 3 nights is required.

    A procedure is in place to allow possession of the key, to know the alarm system code and to be informed of the operation of the house.     TAXES AND HOUSEKEEPING FEES

    Taxes (GST [5%], QST [9.975%] and tax on lodging [3.5%]) will be added to the posted prices.

    SECURITY DEPOSIT

    A security deposit of $ 250 is required at the signing of the lease. The security deposit will be returned within 48 hours after the end of the stay if the inspection of the residence reveals no damage or loss of property. If the inspection reveals damage or loss of property, the total cost of repair or replacement will be required.

    DOWN PAYMENT

    A down payment of 50% is required at the signing of the lease payable by bank transfer or personal check.

    The balance must be paid 30 days before the start of the stay payable by bank transfer or personal check.

    LEASE CANCELLATION POLICY

    Cancellation by the lessee

    Any cancellation by the lessee must be made by written notice to the lessor.

    If the notice of cancellation is received more than thirty (30) days before the date of the beginning of the stay, the deposit will be retained by the lessor as damages and the security deposit will be returned to the lessee.

    If the cancellation notice is received thirty (30) days or less before the rental start date, the lessee will be required to pay the full rental cost and the security deposit will be returned to the lessee.

    Cancellation by the lessor

    Any cancellation by the lessor must be done by written notice to the lessee.

    In the situation where the stay should be canceled due to unforeseen problems with the building, the lessor's liability would be limited to the total rental cost if the cancellation takes place before the start of the stay or in proportion to the unused days if cancellation takes place during the stay. The security deposit will be returned to the tenant. No additional compensation will be granted.

  • The CITQ is mandated by the Minister of Tourism of Quebec to administer the official classification of seven categories of tourist accommodation establishments. This establishment is visited by the CITQ every 24 months.

    The classifier visits the establishment and, using hundreds of strict and objective criteria, rates:

    • The quality of physical facilities (bedroom, bathroom, common areas, outside, etc.);
    • Its appearance;
    • Its cleanliness.

    The classifier also looks at:

    • Services offered;
    • Certain environmental considerations.
